The current liquid restrictions in force at most airports checkpoints worldwide has created yet another task for security personnel: finding bottles inadvertently or purposely left in carry-on baggage. This task is highly challenging because X-ray screening equipment is optimized to find metallic objects, not organic compounds such as liquids.
