Louis has over twenty-four years of extensive experience in the development of high technology products, including more than 13 years with Nortel Networks, a world-renowned blue chip company. Louis' extensive career at Nortel is complemented by his executive participation with technology start-up organizations, such as Blueslice and VoiceAge Networks, where he provided leadership for the R&D teams. Louis has contributed to the filing of several patents in Europe and the US, and has directed high calibre projects, including the development of speech recognition dialling systems, 3rd generation telecommunication equipment based on the MAP/SS7 and SIP protocols, and high-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 video encoders and decoders for telepresence, telemedicine, IPTV and remote education applications.
