Multi-Spectral Image Analysis
Use of multi-spectral information in the image analysis process allows Optosecurity to reach a higher level of accuracy, resulting in better detection results and improved throughput at the checkpoint.
Optosecurity has developed Contextness®, a technology analyzing the environment surrounding an object or area of interest to factor in additional contextual information that could be relevant in the determination of the nature of the object or area under inspection.
Understanding a particular context allows to expect certain objects and not others, and consequently resolve a lot of the ambiguity in otherwise very complex detection scenarios.
The same concept can also be applied to AIT or walk-through portal imaging. In such cases, contextual analysis would help improve throughput by reducing false alarms triggered by the presence of benign items that could have been perceived as suspicious outside of their context.
