The techniques used by Optosecurity to perform automated threat detection are based on the RAW data provided by an X-ray machine, not the image displayed on the screen by the X-ray manufacturer.
With such RAW data, Optosecurity has full control over the calibration and rendering of this data and can exploit it to yield optimal results, often producing an image quality that exceeds those that are offered by X-ray manufacturers. Analysis of RAW X-ray data has the added advantage of making Optosecurity products vendor agnostic.
